Little Shakers is a child-safe organisation. We operate in accordance with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, endorsed by the Australian Government and informed by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
This page sets out how that commitment shows up in every class we deliver — from how we screen and train, to how we listen, to how we respond if a child speaks up.
All 10 principles for Child Safe Organisations (Australian Government, 2019) embedded in our policy and practice.
Alana has completed accredited child safety training — refreshed annually and documented for every host centre.
Working with Children Check, HLTAID012 (Education & Care First Aid) and CPR — kept current and verifiable.
Little Shakers is committed to the safety, participation, empowerment and wellbeing of every child in our care. We have zero tolerance for child abuse, harm or neglect in any form.
We believe children have a right to feel safe, to be listened to, and to participate in decisions that affect them. We actively create environments — physical, social and emotional — where this right is upheld at every class, in every centre, every week.
We take all allegations and concerns seriously, respond promptly, and report to the appropriate authorities as required under Australian law.
The Australian Government's National Principles for Child Safe Organisations set a benchmark for every organisation that engages with children. Here's how Little Shakers lives each one — week in, week out.
